Straight from their sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall, the internationally heralded Sphinx Virtuosi (formerly known as the Sphinx Chamber Orchestra), returns to the Harris for a special matinee performance. Heralded by The New York Times as “first rate in every way,” the 25-member Sphinx Virtuosi, who will also be joined by the Catalyst Quartet, are comprised of the top Laureates of the national Sphinx Competition for young African American and Latino string players.

The Sphinx Chamber Orchestra made its Chicago debut at the Harris in 2008 as part of the Theater’s Fifth Anniversary Season, and returned to the Theater for a highly-acclaimed performance in October 2010.
